When listening to voice mail from my new cell phone (V551), none of the
voice mail keycodes work. For example the cingular web site says pressing 3
while listening will erase the message. And pressing 9 will fast forward.
But none of my buttons work except * and 9 (which causes the message to be
saved)
Customer service hasn't a clue why this is happening..

1, 2, and 3 work on my Samsung X427M - haven't tried 9 yet, didn't know it
might work.

Ask them to delete your VM and put it in again. Then set it up and
try again.

Does your phone have the option to turn on tones while in-call? It could
just be a situation where it is not sending the tone for the system to
recognize the number you press.

You must be on different voice mail system than I am. For me I press 7
to delete and that will not work if its currently playing a message. 3
fast forwards by 10 second and pressing 3 twice goes to the end of the
message. So If I listening to an extremely long voice mail, I press 3
twice to get to the end than I press 7 to delete.

One of my students showed me that double 7's while it's playing will delete
it.
