my ISP has put a hub in order to share internet.he has connected 2 computers to the hub,but he has activated only 1 account by giving 1 ip and internet is working fine on one computer.

the IP address is : 10.0.1.223
the subnet mask is : 255.255.255.193
default gateway is : 10.0.1.193
DNS server address is : 10.0.1.193

the 2nd computer is connected to the hub but has no internet as he has not provided with an ip.can i connect the 2 computers as they are on the same hub ?
If yes, what values of ip addr.,subnet mask, default gateway,DNS server address should i use in the 2nd computer.

Also,he has put up a local ftp.so can i use the ftp from the second computer

if your not getting 2 ips from your isp you need a router, or call them and ask about getting another ip address. but it really is easyer to just get a router.
