I am thinking of upgrading my graphics card to a Geforce 7600GT AGP with 256Mb memory. At present I have an ailing Radeon 9800 Pro. My question is, is the 7600GT plug and play, meaning does it pick up it`s power supply from the AGP slot, or does it have a separate power connector from card to PSU?. My PSU is 300W. Is that enough for a 7600GT, and if not, what is the best card I could use with my machine in it`s present state. My spec is-
P4 3.2GHz
Asus P4V8X-X Motherboard
512MB PC3200 RAM (planning to add more RAM)
120Gb hard drive
Radeon 9800Pro
300W power supply.

If it's a good quality 300W it should handle it. No on the AGP power, it has it's own 4-pin Molex connector. I think you'll probably be okay though.
