My Sony DCR-PC330 has it. It also has progressive scan. The ads even tell
you, progressive scan and 16:9 support.
they dont tell you it's one or the other, not both at the same time.

Actually it has "progressive shutter" which is only for still pictures. For
video it's not progressive scan.

As an owner are you sure you aren't just getting 15fps in progressive mode?

I checked the Sony web site and it appears your DV camera is not
progressive at all. It has a progressive shutter as Sumner mentioned,
which is used only for stills. Video is shot in standard NTSC interlaced
mode.

They should definitely advertise it better. The few sites I visited
mentioned nothing of what might be considered by many to be the best
feature of the DV recorder.

I want one that does progressive and 16:9 at the same time

check out JVC's new one GR-HD1
"the US equivalent looks like the GR-HD1 (H for HD) which does indeed
capture in true high resolution mode of 720p, (30p) it does have a 60p mode,
but only for NTSC resolution (480p)."

My SONY PC120 has the widescreen feature. It is anamorphic
widescreen. One problem I have is that when I play back on the 4:3
TV, everyone is tall and skinny. i.e. it is hard to share my video
footage with friends and family who don't have 16:9 TV.
