Flash Drive = Swap File

I know Vista does something like this, but I was going to try this on a WinXP, Celeron 600MHz system that I put a USB 2.0 card in. The PC has 256MB of memory so I was going to get a 512MB or 1GB flash drive and tape it down to the internal USB slot that the card has, so it won’t fall out. I've done this before with a 2nd small HDD, but never with a flash drive. I was just wondering if there would be any problems with this.

Thanks

Well, it cant' hurt to try..........

But really, I would get a second 256mb of memory if you could
Swap files are very inefficient regardless of what you do.

I cant imagine 256mb of memory would cost much.

Heck, somebody here may be able to give it to you for free or shipping cost.

I've just plain given away 3-4 systems the same age as yours over the past year or so.

Max system memory is 256MB (128MB x2) so I can't improve there any. And this is a system for a couple I know and they just surf the internet and whatnot, so it will get them by for now.
