If this is true ... maybe the new core has quite a few surprises in store for us ... and maybe that 40 % over Cloverton in a wide variety of application has some credibility after all ... What do u think ???

If this is true I will not be happy knowing there is another cpu out there that performs 40% better than mine. My conroe was supposed to be Da Bomb till like 2008.

I definitely agree about the surprises, AMD is being way to secretive about K10 and isn't showing any benchmarks ... which has lead to some interesting assumptions around here... but my opinion is that AMD holds off any other info because it wants to create momentum when it launches, on the other side Intel has the momentum and wants to somewhat hold on to it.

Well, this won't make the performance of you system any lower (if true). This may be just for the mobile market anyway, with desktop to follow. It is believable in that AMD has been stating for a while that they are targeting the mobile sector.

it doesn't matter if its "K8L," "K10," "K43," or "SUPERBITCHINPROCESSOR." show me the proc, right? i mean i usually get mildly pissed of when someone goes like, "stfu all you n00bs, its not out so just go bite a bullet." yeah, i hate that, and thats kinda what i'm doing, but really: even if they change the name, it doesn't change how it performs or anything. i never thought i'd be going against AMD because i want them to uppercut Intel's head off out of nowhere.... but who says they aren't just creating false hype by doing THAT?

it'd be great. even if it didn't perform EXTREMELY well, that'd still be made up for by the name. AMD, you should be taking notes.... heh.
