Hello all,

I need a suggestion for a good motherboard. I'm plan on purchasing a Amd Athlon 64 5200+ AM2 Windsor chip and would like the board to have crossfire capability as I already own at ATI 1900x 512mb video card and may want to add one in the near future but it's not a necessity I can live without xfire. Also can someone suggest some good ram to go with this board?

I'm currently eyeing this board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E1681...
( EPoX EP-AD580XR Socket AM2 AMD 580X CrossFire ATX AMD Motherboard)

Never built with that mobo and am a bit hesitant, I've built with Asus and Gigabyte and really like those brands.

Thank you.

Epox has been reliable for a while, and this chipset is one of the best (if not the best, IMHO) for AMD. I'll get ATI over nvidia for its low power consumption and simple integration of feature. performance difference between ATI and nvidia are negligable and should not be taken in account, as one win sometime and the other one some time.

At the end, SLI and crossfire are the decisional factor if none of the above apply.
