I'm building my first computer and I ordered my computer parts yesterday. I was looking through the items and I noticed that the psu has a 8-pin cpu power connector and the motherboard has a 4-pin power connector. So, my question is if the 8-pin connector on the psu will work with the 4-pin on the motherboard?

Normally you can separate the 8 pin connector into 2 4-pin connectors.
You should be okay.
