Desktop my computer,recycle bin,my network connections icons not opening

hello,
the above icons are not opening after i double click them.i installed windows 7,they worked fine for 30 min and then suddenly they are not opening....i did sfc/scannow,repaired installation by the boot dvd,scaned for viruses with norton and kaspersky internet security 2011....nothing fixed....plz help

solved it......there was a setting with my graphic card control panel....i accidentally set it to 'show extended displays'...then i changed to 'duplicate the dispalys' and now its fine......
