bought my X850XT about 3 months back and was playing around with it the other day and NO software reads it as having a fan. I can adjust it or even read what % its running at. Can i change this at all? any help would be good

nope it doesn't work same with ati tray tool it doesnt even have a fan panel to select.

Click on settings button.
Then click on the drop down menu that says overclocking, and click on the fan settings.

sorry to say but it was a very bad idea to buy the x850XT
it may be cheap, and strong
but it only supports shader 2
thus it will limit your gameplaying...
games such as rainbow six vegas as now shader 3 or higher requirements.

i had a 9600xt and used ati tool so i know were everything is on it and it isnt there its got. Overclocking, Artifact scanning, gamma control, start up, 3D detection, drive tweaks and miscellanous

What version are you using? 0.26 is the latest.
Try reinstalling it with the latest version, see if it reconfigures AtiTool.
What brand of card it it?

What do you mean none of them work? x850xt does have an option to change the fan speed with atitool.

will mine is a Xpert Vision X850Xt and it doesnt read it as having anything of that sort

Well then i guess if it doesnt have the option in atitool then you cant change the fan speed for that card.

i know how to hange it as i said it was doing it with my 9600XT. But it isnt there on the 850. is it possible that the stock fan the gave me is shit and cant be changed

Sounds like Xpert Vision did this.

My PowerColor X850XTPE has the options enabled.

Are you wanting to quieten it down or speed up the fan for cooling?

This should do both.

If you are trying to overclock and your card does not support adjusting of the fan speed your best bet would be to get what Datman suggested.

thanks for ur input about it. i want out and bought another one from my local store and i can change it around now so it was just a sh*t stock fun
