No, Vista Ultimate is at least 12GB, XP is about 3GB, and Linux is 1GB. Factor in partitioning and you won't have enough space. Then add page file, swap space, etc. You can get a 320GB for $90 these days. Buy a new HDD before installing everything. If need be, run Linux on it till you get a bigger HDD.
vista is 12gb xp is 5gb and linux is 1gb...at the most?..rite!?
I wouldn't recommend it. By the time you have all apps installed, XP will likely be higher than 5GB. My VISTA RC2? build 5600 is at ~8GB, my XP-Pro(Just the windows, program files and documents and settings files= 14.9GB), and Linux will likely come in higher than 1GB(I have a couple Linux installs weighing in @ ~ 3GB). Also, you want a 2GB Linux Swap file. You will either be limited to what you can install, or your HD will be too full to work efficiently(not recommended to fill drive >75%...for defrag/Swap, etc.). GL figuring out what to do.
PS. I keep old drives around just for Linux. I find the 6.4-8.4GB range to be good, then throw another drive(preferably bigger) in for MP3's/videos..etc.
