Using a DS4. Currently got 2 SATA HDDs (not RAIDED) not AHCI mode. Running XP. Interested in running some sort of dual boot system with Vista. Considering a new small SATA drive just for Vista boot partition. Would be nice to have the Vista installed with AHCI turned on (didn't realise when I installed XP). Thinking maybe I could choose which HDD to boot from to detarmine whether to boot XP or Vista. I guess I'd have to change the AHCI options in the bios every time I switched also.
- Inerested in hearing peoples thoughts about the best way to go about this. Which SATA ports to use? Or is there a better way to have a Vista/XP dual boot on the 965P-DSx boards.
