Can somone suggest one of the best ADSL modems, and routers?

Whatever your phone company supports. There are different DSL technologies and settings, so just use what your phone company recommends. As for a cable/DSL router, pick one of the usual suspects: Linksys, Dlink, Buffalo, etc. Stay very, very, very, very, very far away from Netgear for anything that might use a driver or firmware update, as Netgear's drivers/firmware are notorious for having bugs and lacking promised features. Things like unmanaged small ethernet hubs/switches should be OK, but nothing fancier.
