It is my theory, due to the potential funeral arts problems in having
a body in a casket so long without mortician inspection/attention,
that the entire funeral was conducted with an empty casket.

Not cool. Very uncalled for. Even if you're a far-left, homosexual,
socialist, postmodern historical revisionist, you should still have respect
for the office of the presidency, no matter who fills the office.
From a republican who respects Clinton's political skills and disagrees with
his political philosophies.
Reasonable people can disagree.

Blah, blah, blah... All bullshit responses that still ignore the fact

The fact that he was a president is not a great deal.
Merely a matter of a common respect for the recently deceased, or more
correctly their families who might see it.

First, there is someone who complains about
errant behavior (that would get most of us fired from our jobs) in the
oval office, and subsequent lies about such behavior. Secondly, there
is someone who makes comments that suggest enjoyment about the horrible,
long and emotionally painful death of an ex-president. Both of these
examples show a similar kind of character deficit.
It takes an extreme lack of judgement and class to 'screw around' in
the workplace, during working hours, and it takes an extreme lack of
judgement to express glee about the suffering associated with
Alzheimers (sp).
There is definitely consistent behavior between those who emotionally
abused an apparently immature young woman on company time and similar
kind of mentality that expresses glee about the long drawn out death
associated with Alzheimers' disease. It is definitely true that is
is much more disappointing for an officer of the court to give knowingly
false testimony.

It is inconceivable (except for the most extreme idiot of right or
left wing) for happiness to be expressed upon the death of Jimmy Carter,
Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan or any other president in our
lifetimes. It is even more horrible and inexcusable to be insensitive
against an apparently faithful wife such as Mrs Reagan. (There is a
huge difference between being disappointed about screwing around with
subordinates during company time, being an offense that would result
in summary termination for most of us, and the frightening hatred and
joy about slow death being expressed by some people on the left.)
The blanket hatred as expressed by SOME individuals on the left does
help to prove that 'liberalism' in the American left is disappearing,
if not already totally dead. Leftist extremists (narrow-minded, non
liberal) are just as frightening and of the same personality defectives
as the pseudo-militaristic shaved head 'identity' movement individuals.
(Many people on the right do admit to their disgust about errant or
extremely eccentric behavior, but the left doesn't truly admit to it's own
intolerance -- still claiming the 'liberal' moniker.)
The 'identity' movement fools have one major advantage over their leftist
brothers -- their leftist brothers don't admit their intolerance even
to themselves, but the far-right fools at least admit to their hatred
and intolerance.
From a centrist viewpoint, looking at the far-leftist and their Nazi
cousins, they are both equally frightening that those evil spawn can
manifest from our society.

John,
I agree with you on that. HDTV sure isn't necessary for ANY
funeral. It was just your unnecessary remark about his
widow that upset a few people here. ANYONE that loses a
long-time mate deserves more respect than you gave Nancy
(irrespective of your politics).

Bill,
I never meant to belittle the family, just the people that posted the
funeral was in HD, really who could careless about that event in HD. Does the
higher Picture quality add anything of value to the program. Unfortunately I
didn't really get the point across that I intended.
Again the point was the HD picture is not neccesary to get across loss felt
by those in attendance.

It is really improbable that Hillary pulled the trigger herself
(and until now, haven't heard that suggestion.) It certainly
is PLAUSABLE that Vince Foster was murdered, but is unlikely. It
is definitely true that Vince Foster was killed -- and the situation
around the crime scene was a little eccentric. It is incredibly
silly to claim that Hillary pulled the trigger, and I don't
know where you got that idea?
Unfortuately, we have some unfeeling souls who gain pleasure
from President Reagan's incredibly cruel death. On the
other hand, it is very disturbing that those people who
gained pleasure from Mr Reagans' sad, cruel death will excuse
their attitude by noting that there were some people who
were very uncomfortable about Mr Clinton's own disturbing
personal (and in the workplace, often subject to immediate
termination) behavior. One doesn't have to be a GOPer or
Dem to recognize that screwing around on company time,
on company premisis with subordinates is irresponsible
behavior. One doesn't have to be a GOPer or Dem to
recognize that telling lies in a deposition by a court
officer is a crime, and especially wrong for court
officers (e.g. a lawyer) moreso than an average
defendant or witness.
One doesn't have to be a GOPer or Dem to be saddend by
long cruel deaths from Alzheimers, and one doesn't have
to be a GOPer or Dem to recognize that suicide or murder
of a high level associate of the wife of the president
of the US is uncommon...
The very uncomfortable feelings that resulted from Bill
Clinton's disturbing behavior are certainly mainstream,
normal emotional attitudes. The enjoyment that has
apparently been derived by some miscreants from President
Reagan's very slow, very cruel death does not result from
normal, healthy emotions.
