Blinking HDD light

Hello,I bought a new laptop and it is only 3 days old and the HDD light is blinking all the time whaen the computer is not in use. If you can help can you please explain in steps as I don't know computer jargon.

Are there any issues aside from the activity light blinking? Unless the light is on constantly, this is not a problem.

Windows will use idle time to index the contents of your drive and also defrag in the background. Not to mention other running processes will also require reading and writing to the drive even when you're not actively using the computer. Completely normal.
