I work for a large isp in South Georgia. The past year, when I was doing service calls, I found Linksys routers to be the fault. No other brand, just Linksys. Upgrading the firmware helps, but not the cure. They freeze up or just give poor service. Any body else having the same problem?

I work for a company that sells linksys routers (as well as various others). I install them. I have found that linksys products are either greate and you get no troubles, or through the horrid thing away. I would expect to start seeing more and more improvments since the Cisco Takeover.

I have a USR Router, and have never had a problem with it. It has been in service for 2 years.

I used a Linksys BEFSR41 (v.2) for about a year when I had cable (Road Runner) and it worked quite well for me. Can't ever remember having any trouble with it. It was probably never 'stressed' much with only 2 machines hooked to it so...

The best thing to do if you have one of their routers is to update its firmware. It helps.
