Did anyone watch the Reds vs Cards game today on ESPN HD?? Well it wasn't
broadcast in HD on my set?
Did anyone else have this problem? All I got was the game (4X3) with those
bars on the side? Maybe they had a problem with the HD cameras or something?
Didn't see anything on the ticker below though.

I watched some of the early innings and they were HD.

They will show the original broadcast of it in HD but not the subsequent
replays.

One think I don't like about their HD channel is the constant going from
full 16X9 to the
4X3. Irritating.

I used to hate them stretching out 4:3 material to 16:9. Looked aweful.

If you live in Cincinnati, you did not get to see it in HD..
Blackout rule screws me again... I think if a HD game gets blacked out
because it appears on another channel (I think FOX OH in this case) then it
MUST be available in HD by the other station... I was really looking forward
to this game in HD...

To receive the HD signal on a HD set you must connect the satellite
receiver using a Component cable or DVI cable. Analog and S-Video
just won't pass the wide HD signal. You must also connect using a
Coaxial cable or Digital cable to receive any audio from the HD
signal. Do you receive any HD at all.

Did you mean to ask the other guy? I am hooked up via component and watch HD
every day. Watched a few ESPNHD games already. My point was, because I am in
the Cincy area, ESPN blacked out the Cincinnati game because it was already
playing on another channel (which is not HD).. Therefore, I did not get to
watch it in HD.
