Comp froze, serious problems

My computer suddenly froze, i mightve tapped it with my foot i think (maybe i was just dreaming).. after i forced restarted.. on bootup this is what it looked like...




Then the sequence of weird letters change until i get a garbled screen of windows loading and then screen goes completely black

I noticed this one golden thing on my mobo was REALLy hot .. i couldnt stand putting my finger on it . what is this thing

maybe those 30 people didnt have a solution to your problem..?

what did it end up being? you bump the connection from the monitor cord to your vid card or something?

Nah. It seems my power supply crapped on my video card. I tested my video card on my bro's comp and same effect, so its my video card. Seems i will need to get a better power supply.
