After trying to get 4) X1950 PRO AGP cards to work in my 3.2 P4, I've decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to Conroe & PCIe.
This is my first MB & CPU build and I know I'll have to reinstall XP, but my question is should I install the new video card for the first boot, or go with onboard video?
Should I hook up the CD/DVD, sound card, etc all at once, or hook up individually, reboot, then add another device.

Thanks for the input...

Install CPU and RAM then install the mobo, plug in the fans and PSU and start the machine making sure all the fans are running and test the on/off and reset switc. If they are, install video card and start up and go into the BIOS. If there are no problems, install all your other hardware and then install XP.

well your cpu, ram, mobo, psu, and everything case related should be installed. also, youll want your hdds and cd/dvd installed at start.

you should wait till second time you boot for the gfx, and everything left over can go after taht.
