I'm bought Abit AB9 pro and pci IDE card because i have IDE dvd drive and 2 IDE hard disks. I know that before there was primary ide and secondary ide in motherboards but how does it go now that i have only 1 IDE in motherboard and the pci IDE card and when i assemble the pc do i have to do something to make the computer find the IDE devices that i have in the pci card? could you also tell should i put the dvd drive or the hard disks in the pci card?

You probably need to load a driver on a floppy when you install Windows so it recognizes the PCI IDE card.
Connect your hard disks to IDE 0 and your DVD drive to IDE 1 on the PCI card. Make sure the jumpers are correct (Master-slave) and that the position on the cable is correct also. End of cable is for master. Middle of cable is for slave.
