I currently have a television (Sony KP-61HS10) with just one component video
input. I have both a progressive scan DVD player and DirecTV HDTV. I do my
switching through my Denon AVR-5800 receiver. I would like to add one or two
additional sources, such as a digital cable box and a computer (principally
to watch Windows Media HD DVD's). So, I need a switcher. What do you folks
recommend? A popular model seems to be the Audio Authority 1154A, for about
$170.
I would like to have at least four outputs (for both video and digital
audio) and would like the switcher to automatically select the active
source, with manual override. A remote would be nice, although I wouldn't
need to use it much if the auto-select works well. I will eventually get a
projector, probably DLP, so if there is anything specific to a projector, it
could be important to plan ahead. Of course, to the extent possible, the
switcher shouldn't degrade the signal quality.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the 1154 and it works fine. I switch my DVD, Samsung T151 and the
audio
only from Dish Network. I have had to reset it twice over the past year but
other that that
no problems.
