I've never built a computer system before and would appreciate some advice from more experienced folks. Below is a list of the parts I'm considering buying. Is anything missing? I have keyboard, mouse, modems. My understanding is that I don't need to purchase a video or sound card with the motherboard I have selected. Are there compatibility, etc. issues I should know about? I would like to build a system that I can upgrade in the future.

Due to budget constraints, I'm starting out with a low-end Sempron CPU (I want to go with AMD) that I hope to upgrade in the future. I'm not a gamer--I mostly use my current low-end P-III, Windows XP machine for surfing, email, word processing, etc. but would like to build a machine I can use more easily for multimedia stuff and maybe some low-demand games. I have no interest in Windows VISTA but would eventually like to switch to Linux.

Thanks. P.S. I'm cross-posting this in the Motherboards, Processors and Overclocking forum.
