I will be ordering a e6600 this weekend but I am stuck on mobo since there are infinite choices. I have been impressed by asus and recommended by numerous people. I am interested in the longest upgrade path, so I am interested in the 1333fsb!!!

I only want to run one vid card since im not gaming very much, although the option for more later is good. I am also interested in running HD dual tuner for dvr. Eventually sound and possibly wireless pci if I dont get this mobo. I am not sure if this will be a good upgrade mobo, maybe some ocing. I would like some input, particulary the wireless option (any good, reliable: Id rather pay a premium for a card that is great over a average wireless mobo). Also, should I wait for the vista boards???

Would this be a better option even though I am not a gamer. I want to have a great mobo
It has built in WiFi, optical and coaxial S/PDIF, supports 1333 FSB, supports Crossfire (4x only on the second PCIe though), fanless (heatpipes), overclocks very well, has firewire, and is ASUS.
For max RAM, it depends on whether or not you have 32-bit or 64-bit OS. For 32-bit XP or Vista, you can install 4GB, but the OS can only address about 3.2GB.
For 64-bit, I'm not sure on the max RAM, but the motherboard will probably set the limit. Some have a max of 16GB, others (like the above P5B-Deluxe) have a max of 8GB. I would assume that 64-bit OS's can address the entire amount.
Grant, I have to agree with you now that I look at the P5W closer. It seems that it can go to higher bus speeds then the P5B. The P5B seems to be limited to 400 according to some reviews.
I would personally avoid that motherboard you originally wanted. Its poorly supported and has quite a few issues with it. It was removed from the ASUS site awhile back (might be back again by now) but ASUS don't seem too keen on supporting it.
If you want SLI and a future proof board then go with the Striker otherwise one of the P965 boards that the others have suggested will do just fine.
I Orderd my E6600 2 days ago with the ASUS p965 commando. But if you really want a mobo that has 1333fsb you have to get a nvidia 6X0 series. at the moment they are the only mobo's that support 1333fsb. I got a P965 because by the time I need a new cpu there will be DDR3 ram on the market and I will require a new mobo anyway. Or I can let my little brother use this system and I can get me a new one, instead of having lose components laying around collecting dust.
I not really into overclocking since I don,t know that much about it. But do you think I would be able to get my fsb past 1333 with my commando mobo since it is a good overclocking mobo?
I completely agree with your comment about the P5N32-E SLI Board.
I tried that and major problems with it, BSOD every other boot. Asus said it was a bad board and to RMA.
Fortunately when I RMA'd it back to Newegg the P5N32-E was out of stock and I received a refund rather than a replacement board.
