I have a spare 3200+ is it worth using it to build a midrange lan gaming rig with a card like a 7600/x1600? Any sugestions for part under $300, I wont need a hard drive but would need m/b, ram, case, and maybe dvd drive.

If it's an A64 3200+ I'd say it would be worth it. On an older Athlon XP 3200+, not so much. It would struggle with a lot of the latest games. A modern $50 CPU would outdo it...

i have played games like oblivion with a singlecore and dual core

there are vitually no dual core games out yet.
