I have a Windows 2000 server that is running SQL Server
2000. For some reason, a scheduled job we have has
stopped working.

I noticed in the event viewer under system log files,
there is an error Event ID 5788 and Event ID 5789. The
description was that Access is Denied. I followed
article 257734. I looked at both the PDC and BDC to
check the securities, but wasn't really sure what the
article was telling me to look for.

Does anyone have any ideas or need more specific info
from me in order to offer some help?

It sounds like a dns problem from the description of the Event ID's. The
link below may be helpful. Go to the Domain Contoller Security Policy and
then to security settings/local policies/user rights. Make sure
authenticated users is in the "access this computer from the network" user
right and that no group exists in the deny access to this computer from the
network user right. It may also help to run netdiag on that computer looking
for any failed tests/errors/fatal warnings. --- Steve
