Ok, so question.

DDR800 is better for OCing your CPU? or DDR667?

I am receiving a P5N-E shortly and then will get an E6400 as well here, which I plan on putting up to 2.4-2.6ghz.

Will DDR800 be best for this or 667?

well, I don't want to go down to 533.

I know it can do 3.2, but I am an amateur at OC and I don't want to have to worry about adjust voltages of the CPU, etc. and 2.4-2.6 I think will be good enough for today anyway. - Also trying to not have to worry about an Arctic cooler JUST YET. Will pick one up eventually, but trying to keep it simple.

just wondering if 667 or 800 makes a difference. I'd rather have 800, but if 667 is easier, then yeah....

My $.02 is that going from 667 to 800 doesnt cost much more right now, but if you buy the 667 and decide that you should have gotten the 800, you have to pay for the ram all over again. Just a thought.

1:1 is the ratio between the ram and the processor fsb. It is optimal setting for overclocking C2D. Other processors would use 4:3 or 5:4, but if you can get a C2D to stay at 1:1 it will perform the best. It is basically a way of speeding up the processor without speeding up the ram as much. That is why I think you should get the ddr2800. Then you can easily maintain the 1:1 ratio and not have to worry about your ram limiting you.
