BFG7600GT slower than XFX7600GT?

I am new to overclocking. I got two BFG 7600GT OC Geforce cards and I was looking on GPUreview and it said that some other brands have faster or more overclocked factory shipped core and memory. For example my default for the BFG card is 580 core and 725 memory. The same card but by XFX brand is 650 core and 800 memory. Can I just overclock my cards to those higher specs without any problems or is the XFX card actually made for those higher speeds and runs more stable?

Also, if I overclocked my card to the XFX speeds would they be exactly equivelant or would one be better than another?

What are the risks if I choose to overclock to those higher speeds?

Can`t really say if the cards can oc up to that point (i am an owner of one of those xfx cards). The only way to find out is to start ocing slowly, slowly. Start increasing the gpu and ram, each time testing with various bencmarking software to see if you have artifacts or not. If you don`t then continiou ocing. when you find artifacts the back up at least 10mhz.
Also two identical cards may not oc the same.
