Setup
1 XP desktop with eathernet running zone alarm and the XP firewall
1 win 2k wireless laptop with no firewall

2 routers
1st belkin firewall router of some sort with the WLan hooked up to my cable modem. THe desktop is pluged into it. THe 2nd router is pluged into it.
2nd is a Hawkings wireless router with Wlan port pluged into the first router and laptop is connected by 802.11g.

the firewalls are active on both routers.

The problem

On my desktop I try to pull up yahoo.com to check email and it trys to connect but sits there waiting for reply....I can ping it all day long and get an avrage of 88ms but I cant actualy pull up the website.
On my laptop I can get yahoo.com to come up but when I try the mail link it finds the site and then waits for reply... untill the connection fails.

I have scanned for spyware and adware crap and all comes back clean. Is there anything I can do to get this to work correctly? All other sites work properly as I am using the net connection to mail this post.

I need to get to my yahoo mail because I have my biz website trough yahoo and the only way to get to the mail is trough them.

one of your routers/firewalls is blocking outbound port 80.

If you have zone alarm running there is 0 reason why windows xp firewall should be running. disable that.

After totaly disabling all firewalls and directly connecting the desktop to the internet I decided to call my ISP ( Mediacom ) and found out that thay are having some problems regarding "web sites connected with yahoo".

I am now using a free but bandwith limited proxy server in Botswana to get to my email. If the problem isent fixed by monday morning I am calling to confirm the instalation I have scheduled for tuesday afternoon with the city ISP ( more expensive but more then double the bandwith )
