The RAM will work but you'd get better performance with DDR2 667, which is the highest level this board supports. I would get at least 1GB. You will get onboard sound so you won't need a sound card. A separate audio card will give you higher quality but if comes to getting a sound card or better speakers, go with the speakers.

if you are not overclocking e6600 works better with lower timings. so get low mhz ram with great timing and youre better off.
