Hi,

I've got a very frustrating problem with my powerline network. I am using it to stream dvd's from NAS or PC to media center but the speed is so variable. I'm using HDX101 with a Netgear routers.

Doing a straight file drag and drop it can take anywhere between 20-30 minutes to 150 minutes (this causes stuttering).

I've tested the media center side and it can drag (via the router) a dvd from the NAS in 10-15 minutes.

Also test the other pc via another Netgear router with similar speed.

However, over the HDX101, it is so variable.

My house is 2 years old. After contacting Netgear support he commented that heavy applicance running concurrently could cause this variability. Again I've tested this without having 'anything heavy' running but still variability.

Is this degree of variability common with other appliances causing such a crippling of performance ???
