Recently (last month or so) my Sapphire ATI x1900xt 512mb video card has been making a real loud noise, seems to have something to do with the fan. I've taken it out cleaned it and checked my gpu temp in ati control center while it's making the loud noise and my gpu temp is fine (at 55 degrees C). Should I bother investing in a new cooling unit for my video card? It does kind of bother me and i'd like to try and protect my investment.

Try getting a new fan or cooler for the GPU.

Can you provide some good recommendations for a vga fan? I'd prefer to find one that vents out the back of the case as oppossed to moving it around in the case.

One thing to keep in mind that if you get a new aftermarket cooler the warranty is going to be voided.
