Hey guys, I've got a build list for my mom here:

DFI RS482 Infity Mobo
AMD 939 X2 4200+
2GB Supertalent DDR400 RAM
2 x Seagate 7200.10 SATA 250GB HD's
DVD combo drive
2 case fans
Card reader

She won't be doing anything demanding at all so would this PSU cut the mustard:

or should I go with one of my beloved SeaSonics'?

Splendid
IMHO, since your mom doesn't do anything demanding, that does
not mean she deserves a low-end PSU.
C'mon she is your mother! She's what brings you to this world
so treat her rig with something better! :p

The PSU that interest me are those Antec EarthWatts, where it
says they it saves on your electrical bills.
Don't know how that works, but hey if you can help your mother
save a few bucks she will be extremely happy! 8)

I'm leery of PSU's that are that cheap myself. Silverstone is a fairly reliable brand, but I don't know to much about their lower end models...

first of all why the heck does she need 2 x seagate 250gb hds?
second: she needs 2gb?

if she needs both of those then your mom should be posting here also haha.

Small question: If she won't be doing anything demanding why does she have 2GB of RAM? (leftovers?) :?

Well, my mom isn't a super big fan of technology, so when something runs slow or crashes, it's "the stupid computer." You guys know what I'm talking about. 2GB of RAM will let her run everything smooth as silk and the 2 HD's are for RAID1 so that she can have all of the pictures of her grandkids backed up safe and secure when they come around. She'll never need more computer than this and it'll crush her wimpy single core laptop.
