Does anyone know if it's possible to output HD quality tv from ATI's
HDTV Wonder card to an HDTV? This would be a lot cheaper than just
going out and getting a tuner that can't even do a lot of what this
can. I know it has some sort of output on the back that resembles
s-video but supposedly isn't, i think it hooks up to that purple ATI
breakout box, possibly. Maybe there is someway to do this that's
pretty obvious but i'm afraid of it not being the right quality.

Yes, as long as you can get a component output video cable for your card with
red, green, and blue jacks on the end to connect to your HDTV set. You cannot
watch real HDTV without it; yellow video jack, S-VHS jack, and putting the TV
on channel 3 is not going to deliver any format higher than 320x240 NTSC.
Want 1080i HDTV? Gotta have the component video connection to your set.

Since the card doesn't have HDTV output, (an external HDTV connectors,
RGB component, vga 15 pin, DVI for example), I assume the way it works
is it sends the HDTV video to your graphics card on the AGP bus, so your
graphics card is your HDTV output. This is the way the Fusion2 card
works. From the photos I've seen, the ATI HDTV has only coax input
terminals on it's side. Those must be inputs from your ota antenna or
cable box.
