I have Windows XP Pro installed on my machine, one a 160GB SATA HD. I have a second 160GB SATA HD plugged into another port, but it's empty and not partitioned.

If I try to unplug the unpartitioned HD, Windows refuses to boot. It gets to the loading screen (The Windows XP splash screen with the scroll bar) but it immediately reboots itself.

It seems like I have to have the other drive plugged in for it to work.
