I have a hp m7360 pc with a pentium d 940 775 socket and my question is if it's possible to upgrade my pentium d 940 to a core2duo on this motherboard and will it work ? The mobo has a 945 chipset by the way..

What would happen anyway if i were to put a coreduo2 on this mobo and will it still start or will the mobo fry inside ? What is a vmr by the way ?
