For those who dont know what hamachi is check it out HERE

As for others, what do you think of hamachi? Its helped out alot when playing games and other menial tasks however I notice the overhead alot.

It would be nice but i believe they do not release the source for protection purposes. Knowing the code could allow someone to program exploits such as a join any channel or retrieve user's actual IP function.

I don't know if I agree with that. The argument has been well made before that open source security and encryption solutions are actually more secure than closed source because they are open to peer review and comment. Further, often a lot of users of the product are capable developers who are able to contribute fixes if there is something wrong with the app.

I use it for playing ipx games over the net and generally find it spiffy. would not use it for anything more than that as there better solutions for more demanding tasks.
