TNT-HD has the British Open today and Friday. In the past video has often come
from the BBC with voice-over by American announcers so I wasn't expecting much
in the way of picture quality. Surprised to find the picture is quite good.
Are they actually doing an HD broadcast or just upconverting?

I don't have the HD version here, but their conversion to NTSC is
riddled with artifacts. I had even noticed the expected horizontal
and vertical resolution problem from a PAL conversion???? This is
odd, considering the claim of high quality.

The image is 'sharp', but it does have conversion artifacts. Again,
this is on the NON-HDTV channel.
