Hi all,

I've just been wondering why Dram chips have a maximum clock speed of 200Mhz, ie. DDR@400 = two 200Mhz chips multiplexed onto a high frequency bus, DDR2@800 = four 200Mhz chips multiplexed onto a high frequency bus.

Where did this 200Mhz limit come from? and how come CPU's can go up to 3Ghz+ and Dram is stuck at 200Mhz, seems kind of ridiculous.

Any one know why?
