Does anyone know if it is possible to manually place a MS
update on a SUS server instead of downloading it? My
network doesn't have internet access except for a dial-up
on the server. So downloading the 266MB of XP SP2 is
impossible. Can I save it from CD to the server? What
directory? Will it act like a downloaded update? Any
help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

No, that approach will not work. The SP 2 as used by Sus
and WU is significantly different from the CD distribution
or the full network download, and, the Sus server requires
the extra packaging that provides the detection rules.
About you only choice is to use a network attached Sus
and then move the content to the other using the method
discussed in the Sus deployment paper.
