3DMARK05 Question

I just ran 3DMARK05 and got a score of 5046 with everything running at the default speed. Is this a good score? Its hard to get a good comparison from different sites because it seems like everyone is overclocking. Thanks.

P4 3.0 GHZ 630 Processor
Infineon 1 GB DDR2-533 SDRAM

I would expect a 5000-ish score with that rig and videocard. Sounds right to me.

In 3dMark05... no. A 7600 GT should be around the 5500 mark at default settings 1024x768.

Make sure you're not forcing AA or AF on in the driver panel when you test...

The score seems in that range. If you want to increase your score... oc or buy a new video card. At 5000pts in 3dmark05 dont plan on playing most of the demanding games at highest setting probably at lowest.

mmm... i do not agree with you my friend . my brother has a MSI GeForce7600 GT & he gets around 5500~5700pts in 3DMark05 ,but he does not play new games (Like Just Cause ,NFS Carbon ,Gothic 3 ,...) at lowest.
6800GS still is a good card (i know that it is not high end any more!) & it can play new games at Medium or even at high details but at lower resolution (800x600 & 1024x768).
