Hi Guys,
I just got done building a mid/high end PC. Specs are as follows:

Core 2 Duo 6400- Clocked at 3.2
COOLED BY ZALMAN 9700
XMS2 DDR2 PC6400 2x1GB
ASUS PN5-E SLI
EVGA 8800 GTS - CLOCKED AT 575/850(X2)
SOUND BLASTER XFI PLATINUM
RAPTOR 74GB
WEST DIGI 250GB SATA II
XP PRO

Now, that memory price for addtional 2GB is down to $167 at newegg.com. I was wondering if that would make this computer at least 2 year proof?? Since, memory prices will rise once its get outdated i figure pick some up and call it a day. What you guys think??

Thanks in Advance!

4GB will be useful at some point in time if not now.
Vista requires more resources.

Truthfully, however, I would expect DDR2-800 to fall more than rise as time goes on. I dont see a need to jump on it like crazy. I bough 2gb for just over $100 just before memory took off like crazy.
