This site seems a bit shady but thought i would ask the masses on this site if they have dealt with this website. The price for an e6600 seems too good to be true and it probably is, but again just curious if anyone has bought one from them. We are talking $100 under normal prices. Below is the link. Thanks!!!!!

You may be getting an OEM model with no Heatsink. Check Newegg and compare the numbers for the retail vs. OEM.
And no I've never heard of the site.

That is kind of what i was expecting.

Newegg ## = BX80557E6600
Zlappy ## = BX805576600 in the title but BBX805576600 in the details below.

Also, is there anything different between OEM and retail besides the heatsink? I'm going with aftermarket cooling, so i could care less to have another aluminum paperweight. Is there warranty differences or anything to watch out for when buying OEM? Thanks again for the help, i appreciate it!

Also, i found the following http://base.google.com/base/a/1500 [...] 7856636789

Good, bad deal????

Normally, OEM chips don't get the full warranty of the reatail versions. I believe OEM is only 6 months whereas the retail chip is 3 years.

I dunno...

* Model: BBX805576600
* 99999 Units in Stock

And no photo available...

I'd make sure that my credit card had maximum fraud protection on it before I'd give it to these guys...

That and all of the google ads on the website had me a little weary. Unless i get at least a few people to confirm they have dealt with this site I won't be sending them any money. And yeah i only use my credit card for online purchases.

Zlappy.com
276 S. Main Street
Ann Arbor, MI
United States

Virtually no google listings, a nonexistent address and no zip code. Check it yourself with a reverse address finder.

RED FLAG!

Give your $225 to charity. At least you'll feel good about it.

ah, good call! I did the google search and not much besides links to their own website came up. There were a few mentions from a couple XBox websites but that was all i could find. There was also 1 review from a customer on some review site but i have since forgotten what site that was. Still there isn't an overall large amount of feedback from the company. A business has to start from the bottom but the reverse address finder doesn't list it as a business. It DOES find the address from what i have seen but says nothing about being a business.

Also no phone number either. And in the "Shipping and Returns" portion of the website only mentions shipping and nothing about returns.

Well, thanks for letting me think out loud :lol:

If it finds the address and it's obviously on Main Street yet doesn't list anything, then it might be a dirt lot, or a missed number. Remember that savings are only worthwhile if you actually get the product! :D

It must be a new site. Found it on reseller ratings and it only has one review so far.

Just be careful.

If it sounds too good to be true… :wink:

Thats the site i found! Couldn't remember which it was :( The "too good to be true" flag was raised when i found it doing a www.froogle.google.com search which is why i jumped on this forum. It gets quite a bit of traffic so i thought what the hey. That second link i found and posted a few replies above doesn't have much online either, except for google stores. Seems that ZipZoomFly has the best deal out there that is "safe" for the E6600, unless anyone knows of a reputable place to buy a retail version cheaper than $315.

I only buy from NewEgg... :wink:

I bought a $50 small appliance (non computer) from an Ebay seller with 100% positive feedback. Paid via Paypal on Dec. 20. Still have nothing. I've filed a complaint with Paypal and I'll likely end up getting my account recredited in the next month or so.

Trust. Noone. But. Egg. :D
