When I first read the subject line...I got excited. Then after seeing what you actually get for $400...not so much.

At that price you get stuck with:

-ECS MoBo (which I recently got confirmations that ECS is still as crappy as I remember them being)

-256MB Ram...which isn't enough...period. Especially if you want to run Vista. But even with XP that's too low.

-A lowly 40GB HDD...which if anyone has a decent music library, pictures, and games installed on their PC's...is eaten up really quick.

-Onboard S3 graphics. So you still have to shell out another $130 at least for a decent GFX card.

-Just one CD-ROM drive. Not even a burner.

-And probably the cheapest, most generic case available. "Atx Beige Midtower Case W/ Power Supply" Can't even list the manufacturer.

While I commend you for trying, I would similarly pity anyone that actually bought a system from them. True, they do give you upgrade options on the site...but they are charging an extra $170 for a GeForce 6800XT video card. You can get a 7600GT for less or a 7900GS/X1950Pro for not much more on Newegg.
