Have just installed the ga945p-s3 motherboard with Core 2 E6300. I'm just going to use my existing IDE HDD for the time being. When I go to boot it just keeps looping and finds IDE channel 0 master and slave. When I go to CMOS it auto finds the HDD (the pioneer DVD is the slave on the same IDE) and it also finds that. There are all kinds of settings in the peripherals menu of CMOS - does anyone have any suggestions? I don't have any sata devices attached at this time.
Am new to all this so any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks caperskmt

You need to do a repair install of Windows. I guess you had a different chipset before and are upgrading to this new chipset. Windows has the drivers of the old machine installed. It would probably be best to remove all the drivers you can before using it in the new machine.
