From theInq, yes, But with the recent announcement of PCI-e external cabling, and Asus showing off there external graphic/sound solution for notebooks. This article from them has relevance. On that 10,000 foot wall theInq flings crap on, sometimes a thing or two sticks, and i give this about a 95% chance of sticking.

But my question to you, the forum readers of THG.

Will this new external graphics standard for notebooks, lead the decrease in desktop systems?

With flash or solid state drives and Hybrid HDDs, plus the external graphics, notebooks will be able to achieve High End desktop performance while maintaining there portability. Thoughts, opinions, any flames feel free to add.
