Building a gaming system

I'm building a computer system for my Nephew with a 2K-3K budget. We have been doing research on motherboards and video cards and I think were set on going with ATI for the graphics but we need some help in selecting a motherboard and a suitable power supply

Here are the criteria

* This computer is primarily for gaming

* Wants a single X1950 card until the R600 ships.

* The option to upgrade to the new ATI R600 card when it ships

* Ability to do Crossfire with two x1950 or R600 cards.

* intel Core 2 Duo or quad core.

* Overclocking a must

Given all this, what motherboard and power supply would you recommend?
