Dumb question. I have the Core 2 duo processor from pentium...and is the core 2 is that 32 bit or 64 bit. Is the 32 or 64 bit ability is that dictated by the processor or Vista? If it is dictated by Vista and the core 2 has the abitility to do 64 bit is there anyway to change it to 64 bit without buying a new vista disk?
You're obviously mixed up; Intel has dropped the Pentium name from their processor lineup. The Core 2 line of CPUs are 64-bit, but they can run either a 64 or 32 bit operating system. That being said, if you have a 32-bit version of Windows Vista, you will have to purchase the 64-bit version for 64-bit support.
