Ok, I built the system I have been talking about on here. Basically, it is the basic fairly high end gaming box everyone else makes with one catch : for sound I have Sennheiser HD 580s...and for a display, a

FIFTY TWO INCH LCoS HDTV!

It has worked absolutely incredibly in terms of display and sound, BUT, it has an intermittent HARD RESET problem!!!! Argh! I used all name brand parts!

Please help.

The error message is "Windows has recovered from a serious error"
"BCCode : 50" "Product :256_1"

I googled, it may be a memory problem...or it could be related to video memory. It is so aggravating because a crash from this only occurs during games or running Sony Vegas, and it can take several hours to get it to crash once so it is very annoying to replicate.

My configuration :
Asus p5b
Crucial Corsair running at 5/6/6 (since the error message is related to ram) 800mhz.
XFX 7900GS factory overclocked to 525mhz, 1350 memory (prime suspect)
Core 2 Duo 6400 at 400 FSB for 3200 mhz (argh another suspect, I do NOT want to have to clock it down to stock)
PSU is an OCZ gamestream. Top of the line, hopefully not the culprit

Sound is an X-fi, HDD a Hitachi Deskstar 500K, NEC DVD drive

Here are the pics of my system

If you are wondering, the text is razor sharp, there is NO video noise or flicker at all (driven by DVI), and there is MUCH more peak brightness than the best LCD or even CRT that I have ever used. It's the best display by far I have ever used or even seen. There are a few cons, I can go over them if you are interested.

I think I fixed it. It was the RAM : I turned the CAS latency and other settings to a more generous level, and manually set the voltage to 2.1v
