Poor proformance. any sugestions.

I was playing around with the 3dmark05 and it seems like im only getting 25-45 frames per second. when i look at the system resources 1 cores loadedu p and the others not. Is there any reason for this.

Im running 4300
gigabyte ds3
8800gts 320 mb
7200rpm harddrive 16cache
2 gigs of ddr800


ok im getting 40 fps avg on game test.

on cpu test im getting 6-7 fps? this just cause its the older future mark and doesnt support dual core? this was 05

Yes only one core will be loaded. 3D Mark isn't designed to stress both cores. 6-7 FPS is really good. Most PCUs won't even exceed 2 FPS on the CPU test.

that is good? while i was really high up on where i scored but i was getting 3-5 frames a second. and on the cpu test it was running really low FPS to. im gonna have to overclock the cpu tommrow and then see how the GPU runs.

Your CPU scores seems reasonabe. My E6600 is OC'ed to 3.0GHz; on the first CPU test I got 6.6FPS and on the second CPU test I got 7.7FPS.

My 3DMark05 score is as follows:

CPU Score: 10711

GT1 - Return To Proxycon: 54.1FPS
GT2 - Firefly Forest: 33.1FPS
GT3 - Canyon Flight: 60.7FPS

My GPU is a Radeon X1900XT 512MB @ stock speed, and I am running BitTorrent in the background.

cpus cant process graphics very well at all hence why we all have graphics cards. that is why they struggle on the Cpu test however futurmark use the test to bench the cpu as it still performs an accurate method of stressing the CPU and better CPUs bring back higher FPS heck my 3500 only gets 2-3 fps on the CPU test

the cpu will clock down to save itself from over heating.....
