Recording line out in microphone

Hello. There seems to be something wrong with my hardware. I have a Gigabyte DS3 Revision 2.0 and Realtek audio drivers, and some Logitech headset. When I try to record sound through the microphone, it records both the sound and the sound going out to the speakers. Why is this happening and how to I record just with the microphone? Please help.

Go to your sound settings. Make sure that only the mic is enabled and that wave and the others are muted.

It worked before, but only suddenly had the sounds overlap. Muting the "Stereo Mix" seems to have worked (even though I never muted it before), so I guess I'm happy. Thanks.
